FAQ

Where are you located?

We are currently based in Watertown, MN and are offering Driveway clearing services to the residential areas of Waconia, MN.

Will you shovel my walkway?

Although we do not hand shovel walkways as part of our seasonal driveway contracts in order to keep our pricing affordable for everyone, we do however offer it as an additional service in select locations. Our specialized crews will shovel directly in front of your garage door, the walkway to your front door, as well as your steps and front porch. Please note that this is an add on service and is priced according to each property. Availability is limited so be sure to signup early and guarantee your spot on the list.

Will you spread salt on my driveway?

Eco friendly ice melt application is an optional upgrade to your seasonal snow package in select locations. If purchased, we’ll return after every storm, all season long and apply a non corrosive ice melter to the driveway. The goal is to cut through hard snow pack and ice. Slip free conditions are not guaranteed. We will also supply you with a bucket of salt which we will refill weekly for your own use.

Can I leave my car parked in my driveway?

Absolutely, our drivers are trained to work around cars to make sure you have no trouble getting out in the morning. Once the city plow has passed we will return for a cleanup. One strategy we’ve found effective is if you change the location of your parked car each storm to get as much of your driveway cleared as possible please park your car as close to the house as you can.

My driveway is gravel. Can it still be blown?

Yes, we are able to offer service to customers with gravel driveways, however we cannot guarantee that gravel will not be displaced onto your lawn.

What areas do you service?

We are currently able to offer service to those within the city limits of Waconia, MN as shown on our locations page.

When are the driveway markers installed and removed?

Our markers start going up late in October through early November. They will be taken out by early April. If you would like to remove them on your own sooner than that please place them by your garage and we will pick them up when we come around.

Will your tractors damage my sealed/interlock driveway?

Believe it or not our tractors actually put less pressure on your driveway than your car does! Our blowers are also equipped with plastic cutting edges to drastically reduce the risk of damage to your driveway.

Do I have a single or double-width driveway?

Our pricing is based on the width of your driveway. Rather than measuring the exact size of your driveway we simply base it off of a standard size. If your driveway is one car wide it is a single, if it is two cars wide it is a double. etc. Driveway length is not usually taken into consideration unless it is abnormally long (i.e. 5 car lengths).

What’s your repair policy?

Our drivers are required to report any damages caused to your property on their tablets at the time of the incident. This information is then logged for repair in the spring unless it is of a more urgent nature. Exclusions to this rule include any and all items left in the immediate work area of our equipment (i.e. on the driveway). Examples would be flower pots/planters, downspouts, recycling bins, garbage cans, basketball nets, children’s toys, and extension cords. Although our office or driver will usually report damage directly to you at the time of the incident we always encourage you to verify with the office the day after the snow storm as well if you have any concerns.

What about protruding water valves in my driveway?

It is the responsibility of the home owner to make sure that if any water valve caps are protruding the driveway to contact the City. You will need to request that they send a service technician by to lower the pipe and cap to the level of the asphalt. If the cap is not flush with the level of the driveway it could get blown onto the lawn! Please make sure that the city takes care of this in advance of the first snow. Otherwise, once snow arrives and covers the surface, this issue is not apparent to us and the city may charge you for repairs in the Spring.

Are tractors loud?

Surprisingly our equipment makes about 1/10th the noise of a traditional walk–behind snow blower. We’re also in and out of your driveway in under 2 minutes, minimizing the amount of disturbance caused to both you and your neighbors. You probably won’t even realize that we are there!

Do you have customer service during storms?

Yes, we have dedicated support staff from 8–5 (Tuesday–Thursday) on non-snow days and bring in extra help for after hours during snow events. We suggest using our Online “Contact Us” Form rather than calling in to our office as it is much more efficient. It is very easy to use and all tickets entered go directly to your dispatcher’s screen.
